Homebody Book Club

made for and by you

Stack of six fall books on a bed with cozy linen sheets to represent Homebody Book Club.

We’re a virtual book club, and we mostly read romantasy, although we have dabbled in other genres.

Our members take an active role in planning meetings and selecting our monthly read. We have members from around the globe, some of whom have had the chance to meet up in real life and attend events together.

How Can I Join?

Our book club is designed for you to participate in whichever way feels most comfortable for you, whether that be joining live meetings and in-person events, or reading what others have to say on our book club app.

Read below for information on how you can participate.

  • Each month, we hop on Google Meets for various live meetings to chat about our favorite books and prepare for highly anticipated new releases.

To receive information regarding live meetings, you can subscribe via Patreon ($5/month) or Substack ($7/month).

Patreon only includes information related to book club meetings and virtual events, whereas Substack includes weekly exclusive posts with content creation tips, bookish culture pieces, and monthly book news round-ups.

  • Homebody Book Club is also on Fable, a free book club app that allows you to engage in chapter-by-chapter discussions with other readers while avoiding spoilers.

  • If you don’t feel like you have the energy or time to participate in live meetings or Fable, but you are curious about my thoughts, you can follow along on IG.

As the month progresses I tend to share my thoughts in my content and stories.

I do not guarantee that I will share content for each book on IG because my desire to make content depends on whether or not I enjoy the book.

FAQs

We discuss our monthly book on the last Saturday of the month at 1 PM EST.

  • Nope! If you’re okay with spoilers, you can join our live meetings or take a look at the discussion occurring in our app.

  • It differs month-to-month, but our live members make the final call on which book we select.

  • The group chat becomes available for paid members once they have attended two consecutive book club meetings.
