OVERVIEW:

Avallen is a "mist-shrouded isle in the north" that is ruled by the Stag King (Ch 14). Avallen is occupied by Fae who largely refrain from participating in Midgard's politics, and they are said to have the "power to summon shadows or mist that could not only veil the physical world, but the mind as well" (Ch 6). The Prince of Caves, where Ruhn Danaan has his Ordeal, and part of the Fae Archives, are located on Avallen.
