Lunathion, also called Crescent City, is the city in which book one takes place. The city is located on the continent Valbara, and while it is considered rather progressive for Midgard, it was modeled after an ancient city. Lunathion is described as having an arid climate with sandstone walls and olive groves. It's modernization is credited to Valbara's Archangel, Micah Domitus, who resides there.

Lunathion has eight districts and seven City Heads. The Governor is the most powerful City Head because he answers only to the Asteri.
