Glossary/Ruhn Danaan
OVERVIEW:
Ruhn Danaan is the Starborn Prince, heir to the Valbaran Fae throne, and leader of the Fae division of the Auxiliary. He is also Bryce's half brother and son of the Autumn King. Ruhn is described as being tall and muscular with raven black hair that is buzzed on one side of his head. He has blue eyes, a lip ring, and is heavily tattooed.
Unlike most Fae in Valbara, Ruhn can wield shadows due to his mother’s Avallen heritage. Despite being the Starborn Prince and securing the Starsword during his Ordeal, Ruhn can only muster a trivial amount of light. For this reason, his father is extremely critical of him.
At the beginning of the series, Ruhn and Bryce have a distant relationship despite Ruhn’s efforts to amend the tension between them. He is an extremely loyal friend to Declan Emmet and Tristan Flynn.

As the book unfolds, we learn that Bryce’s tension with Ruhn emerged from a visit she made to the Autumn King when she was thirteen. She had wanted to learn more about her Fae heritage, and when she met Ruhn they got into a fight and he called her a “half-breed slut.”
He regrets his actions towards Bryce tremendously, and works to gain her trust throughout the novel.
During Ruhn’s visit to the Oracle, she revealed to him that he would be the last of his line. Ruhn believes this means he will either die before becoming a father or he will be unable to have children.
