Keres
OVERVIEW:
Keres is an offshoot of the human-led rebel group Ophion. Philip Briggs is the leader of the Keres sect, and at the beginning of House of Earth and Blood he is serving in prison for a foiled plot to bomb a popular club. Danika Fendyr and the Pack of Devils foiled the plot, and Danika reveals to Bryce in chapter one that Briggs is set to be released from prison on a "technicality." On the same day the book starts, Briggs is let out of prison and a shocking murder takes place. Briggs is the immediate suspect, and he is jailed.

When Bryce and Hunt visit Briggs in prison, they learn that he and Danika knew each other. It is also revealed that Briggs did not kill the Pack of Devils.
