Shahar

OVERVIEW:

Shahar was an Archangel and leader of the rebellion that sought to bring down the Asteri 200 years prior to the start of book one. She led the 18th Legion, of which Hunt Athalar was the commander.

During the first battle of the rebellion, Shahar was killed by her sister, Sandriel, at Mount Hermon. After the rebellion was quashed, those who participated were either killed or enslaved.

Before Shahar’s death, she and Hunt were lovers. Hunt frequently reflects on his experiences with Shahar throughout the series, and his grief over losing her shapes his sense of self-worth and fear of losing loved ones.
