Nøkk

OVERVIEW:

Nøkks are Vanir that belong to the House of Many Waters and live mostly in the northern seas and Pangera. They are described as being eight-foot-long, nightmarish beings with features similar to Mer males. Air is extremely lethal to nøkks.

  During book one, Jesiba Roga acquires a nøkk, which she then keeps in the tank in her library. Bryce Quinlan saves Syrinx from this nøkk after Micah Domitus throws the chimera into the tank. While watching this unfold through video footage, Ruhn Danaan remarks that this event is Bryce's Ordeal.
